Disciplinary Committee

Ensuring professional ethics and standards in the Nigerian Town Planning profession.

Purpose

The Disciplinary Committee of the Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria (TOPREC) is established as a quasi-judicial body to maintain the integrity and professional standards of the town planning profession. Its primary purpose is to adjudicate over cases of alleged professional misconduct reported against registered town planners and planning firms across the federation.

Finance and General Purpose Committee

Visitation/Accreditation Committee

Purpose

Education and Training Committee

To conduct Mandatory Training Programmes, Annual Conferences and Seminars of Town Planners and Allied professionals to keep them abreast of contemporary planning issues as well as to enhance their capacity building.

Co-opted Members

Incorporating external expertise and stakeholder representation in accordance with CAP T7 LFN 2004.

Purpose

In line with schedule 1, section (3) CAP T7 LFN 2004, where the Council desires to obtain the advice of any person on a particular matter, the Council may co-opt them as a member for such periods as it thinks fit, to provide specialized knowledge and diverse perspectives on specific planning issues.
